Volcanic Lakes Region, Victoria – Gulidjan Country

I saw this lake on one of my first flights across the region and fell in love with the patterns and colours it reveals. Since then, I’ve returned many times, each visit revealing something new as the water recedes and returns. This image was captured on one of my latest visits when high salt levels and intense sun combine to form the pink and lavender pigments on the surface. Captured just on sunset, I composed this image to highlight the sweeping forms and layers of salt sediment that resemble a breaking wave. This lake bed is now underwater, changed once again with the seasons.

All of my photographs are locally printed on white, 100% cotton, museum grade paper. All prints have a small white, 20mm border and are signed and numbered in grey lead pencil. Please allow 14 days for printing, postage and delivery. Print prices include tube packaging and postage within Australia.

Framed prints are only available for those who live locally (Geelong, Bellarine, Surf Coast and Melbourne). For interstate customers, I suggest purchasing the unframed print option and then frame locally with your own framer. Due to the fragile nature of the ARTglass that I use in my framing, I am unable to post/ship framed prints.
